Polyxena Mask

The story of the Greek Theatre Mask Polyxena is as follows:

When the Trojan princess learns what the Greeks intend to do to her, she first joins her mother in lamentation (sung). However, when Hecuba fails to persuade Odysseus to spare her, she refuses to beg for her life and decides to endure her fate proudly and bravely. In Talthybius’ narrative of her offstage behavior, she continues to act with self-respect and nearly crosses the line into what Greek males would consider inappropriate assertiveness; at the same time, her ritual murder is eroticized/fetishized.

Images: Pride and Love. She also has a beautiful innocence and earnestness about her. She LOVES her mother so much and is not willing to be a sacrifice for Achilles, so instead she takes her own life. Strong.

This mask is made of neoprene and has an adjustable strap.
