The Greek Theatre Mask of Polymestor Blinded in Hecuba is described as follows:

Hecuba exploits his greed to lure him into the tent, where he is blinded and his children are murdered, he re-enters in an undignified, unrestrained posture and sings an โ€œunmanlyโ€ and emotional song of distress. Given a chance to accuse Hecuba before the (prejudiced) Agamemnon, he returns to cynical lying. In a final twist, he is allowed to predict the future: Hecubaโ€™s transformation and Agamemnonโ€™s murder by his wife Clytemnestra. Polymestor is hauled off by henchmen, to be banished to a desert island.
