This Homer Simpson half mask was created for the second act musical pageant of the play Mr. Burns a post electric play. The play explores a post apocalyptic world and Washburn, the playwright chose the Simpsons over other comedy series when deciding how to them the script.

Homer Simpson is the big oaf father. He is married to his wife Marge and has two lovely children Bart and Maggie. He is gainfully employed as a safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. Homer’s hobbies include donuts, watching TV and beer.

This theatre mask is used in the second act as Homer is tied up with his family as sideshow Bob sings his way through HMS Pinafore. In this episode Homer truly fails at his stated desire, “Maybe for once someone will call me sir without adding ‘you’re making a scene.’”
