The mask is of a woman who is honest, strong, direct, strong minded and strong willed. She is constantly assailed by the evil, demon king Rawana. She is in the end recognized as a goddess by the rulers of heaven.

The cultural masks were created to devise stories based on the cultures of origin but specific to the audiences the stories were being created for. The project that the masks were used in was intended to celebrate world culture and the extraordinary differences that exist between the peoples of the planet.
